Chris Williams is an experienced business strategist, most recently employed by Swansea University as Programme Manager of a £13.4 million pan-Wales project funded through WEFO. She was assigned this role following her success over several years in a Business Development and Operations Manager position with another project.
During this time Chris was responsible for strategic business development with a specific remit to extend the reach of the project beyond the Objective 1 areas into the wider region and UK. Chris was also responsible for the day to day management of the team and staff development.
Prior to this Chris was employed by South West Wales Publications in a business development capacity, with a remit to develop niche publications for clients across South West Wales.
Chris started her career in retail management with Miss Selfridge and worked across the UK managing stores and undertaking special projects including new store openings and product development for specialised London merchandising.
From this Chris transferred to House of Fraser stores with responsibility for localised womenswear management and purchasing.
Following a successful 10 year career in the retail sector Chris took a career break to raise her three children, during which time she used her experience in business development to support and develop fundraising activities and opportunities for local and national charities.
