Following the success of our inaugural Sporting Celebration of International Women’s Day in Swansea last year, we’ve teamed up with Swansea City AFC Community Trust to develop this year’s programme of activities. These events will further raise the profile of Women’s Sports, Health and Fitness and demonstrate that Swansea is taking an innovative approach to tackling fitness and lifestyle issues.
Sporting Supper – Rising to the Challenge – 7th March – 6.30pm – 10pm
An inspirational evening at the Liberty Stadium with guest speaker Non Evans MBE. Non is one of Wales’ most successful sports personalities. Non has achieved international honours in four different sports, but is probably most recognised for her exploits on the rugby field. She was awarded the MBE for Services to Sport in 2011.
We open the evening at 6.30 pm with a bucks fizz reception kindly sponsored by the Liberty Stadium
Supper will be served at 7.15 before Non takes the stage to talk us through her outstanding sporting career and take questions from the audience.
Tickets to hear Non talk about her outstanding achievments are £25 per head which includes the 2 course supper.

Sporting partners events – 8th March
We’re joining forces with Sporting Partners in and around Swansea to promote the diverse range of opportunities for women and girls to engage with sports and fitness across the City. Sports centres, fitness clubs and gyms are pledging support for the day by offering free access to a range of activities and trial sessions.
